Colors
All Ragdolls are born white (unless they are minks and sepias).
Ragdoll Patterns and Colors come in over time.
Some colors like blue and seal you can see in a few days,
other colors like lilac, chocolate and cinnamon
may take 3 or 4 weeks to determine.
By 8-12 weeks all of the colors are evident.
But Ragdoll Patterns and Colors will continue to darken
and come in for about 2 years.
Ragdolls are a point Breed, which I will explain below,
but the point gene reacts to temperature.
All point kittens, toasty and warm inside their mommy,
with a constant warm temperature will be born almost completely white.
Once the kittens hit the great big world they cool down and start to color.
Arms, legs, ears, and tails will tend to be colder,
so they will color the fastest.
Ragdoll cats will continue to color with age.
They will also continue to vary with seasons.
Some full grown Ragdolls will be a tad lighter in summer than in winter.

RAGDOLL MARKINGS:
POINTS? Ragdolls are a "Pointed" breed. Siamese And Himalayan are also pointed breeds. You will hear the words Pointed or colorpoint or points thrown around when talking about Ragdolls. Points are part of the MARKINGS/PATTERNS of a Ragdoll.
Points are the darker marking of the ears, paws, face and tail of the cat. For instance, a seal pointed kitten will typically have a tawny colored body and dark brown ears, paws, tail, and face, her points are the dark brown accents. Points are strictly a type of MARKING. A kitten's Points will be an accent to the color he is.

COLOR POINT: Color point is a MARKING. A Color point Ragdoll is a ragdoll with no white markings for instance a Seal Color Point will have a tawny body color and dark brown ears, tail, paws and face.

BI-COLOR? Once again Bi-color is a MARKING. It is the inverted White V on the kittens face. bi-colors look like they are wearing a mask of their "color" over their eyes. The v's come in all widths but is the description of a facial marking it also means the cat will have a white muzzle, neck and tummy and legs. The bi-color often wears its "color" as a saddle that covers the back and down the legs to varying degrees.
True bi-color vs. high mitted bi-color: Kittens can be one of two types of bi-colors this is a technical point that usually doesn't matter to anyone but a breeder and usually has to be determined by a DNA test. Either way they both have an inverted v on their faces and a bandit mask of color.
Aspen Ragdolls, Cooper is a high mitted blue bi-color Ragdoll and Magnolia is a true chocolate bi-color Ragdoll, Rosewood is a Blue Bi-color.

MITTED? This is also a MARKING. For instance a Blue Mitted will have the soft grey body color, dark grey ears, and tail but unlike the bi-color with the white v and eye mask, the mitted will have a dark nose and muzzle point, this dark muzzel will continue to spread across the whole face giving them a full face mask of the darker color.
WHITE on a Mitted: mitted ragdolls have a white chin, throat, and tummy as well as white mitts on the front paws and white mitts to boots on the back paws. This is where the name "Mitted" comes from, they are wearing cute white mittens.
Aspen Ragdolls, Willow, Apple, and Juniper are all Mitted Ragdolls

Aspen Ragdoll Sassafras(Sassy) is a Blue Eyed White and her kittens are as the name suggests, blue eyed and all white. Jasmine is a Solid Chocolate so she has bright gold eyes and her point color covers her entire body with no variance of color.

BLAZES: Blazes are also a MARKING, but they are just a random streak of white on the nose and or chin. We call them character!
Most Ragdolls don't have a blaze and the mark is not considered a miss-mark.
Aspen Ragdoll Juniper is a mitted with a blaze.

Ragdoll Coats
The Standard Ragdoll Coat texture is a soft, maintenance free, bunny coat.
It is a medium length even though it is registered as long.
The Mink and Sepia coats are also medium length but they have a silkier texture like a mink fur.
The longer Plush coats are getting more and more popular
but they do require weekly brushing to keep from matting.

RAGDOLL EYES:
*ALL KITTENS are Born with slate blue eye just like a human baby!
Eye color changes over the first year.
There are some rules to be aware of if eye color is an important thing for you.
Traditional Ragdolls: will always have the Traditional Beautiful Blue Eyes. They can range in color from ice blue like Aspen ragdoll Cooper all the way through to a deep Navy like Aspen Ragdoll Apple.
Mink Ragdoll: can have eye colors usually ranging from an Aqua through all the blue/green shades to the Traditional Blue eyes. It is almost impossible to determine final eye color on Mink kittens.
But it is usually safe to say you will get something from Aqua to Blue.
Sepia Ragdoll: Coat is the lush gorgeous rich colored cats but a wild card when it comes to Eye color. These lush rich coats on these gorgeous cats means eye color can be anything from green, gold, aqua, brown, hazel, or blue.
You buy a Sepia because of the rich, dark, super lush rich coat and let the eyes be what they may.
